Media Fail: Concealed Carry Averts Mass Shooting at SC Nightclub

By Rick Pearcey • June 30, 2016, 12:18 PM

At CR:

A mass shooting attempt at a night club in Spartanburg, SC, Sunday has received little to no national media attention.

Why? Because a man with a concealed carry permit was able to shoot the attacker in the leg and prevent further carnage. A good guy with a gun isn't juicy enough for the mainstream media outlets.

Make that the "so-called mainstream media." Because whatever "mainstream" "journalists" are up to these days, it has more to do with an extremism that hides facts and information that disrupt comforting liberal fairytales than about responsibly and factually reporting the news.

If you want to overcome evil with good, you have to stand up to it. Sometimes this means employing the proper force necessary to stop violence and save lives. And, of course, it means being equipped and prepared to do so.

This kind of engagement is good, is healthy, and is humane. It is taking responsibility for your life, and it is a very concrete way of showing love for friend, neighbor, and community.

Let's have more of that -- and an honest commitment to real reporting so that other people can learn and live.

High Court Executioners Protect "Right to Choose" . . . to Murder Your Child

By Rick Pearcey • June 29, 2016, 01:52 PM

William J. Olson and Herbert W. Titus at American Thinker discuss how "Monday's decision in Whole Woman's Health v. Texas demonstrates that the U.S. Supreme Court, as currently constituted, is committed to uphold the right to abortion, no matter what."

The U.S. is of course rooted in the verifiable and liberating truth that "all men are created equal" and are "endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights" and "that among these are Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness."

Extremists against this enlightened American mainstream reject the rules of human freedom and dignity root and branch. Thus begins a dark and inhumane descent into intellectual and moral suicide, encouraged along the way by a kneejerk fanaticism that deprogresses people at literally breakneck speed.

You can hear the snip and snap in the aborcentration camps. St. Gosnell of the House of Horrors blesses the instruments of pain and the will to power. O Satan, won't you buy me a Lamborghini.

To help make it throught the night, and to calm sheep in the presence of wolves, extremist activists and lawless courts comfort themselves chanting the language of freedom and dignity.

Oh if words could liquidate the bloody mass. If only the opiate had power to save.

The executioners reject the only known adequate foundations of freedom and dignity even as abortion smokestacks weaponize the language of liberation to turn wombs into torture chambers and law into fascist playgrounds.

The legalization of crime makes the murder of offspring a way of life. Those without eyes rejoice in what they see.

But the dead cry out. Though shredded and incinerated, yet they cry out. Let justice flow down like a river.

Socialism in Practice Kills -- Venezuela Video, Graphic Content

By Rick Pearcey • June 28, 2016, 08:51 AM

Warning, this video by Matt Kibbe contains graphic content. In the video, Kibbe states:

It started several months ago. A man was accused of stealing $5. He was surounded by a mob of people. He was slashed, he was doused in gasoline, and he was set on fire.

Things in Caracas, Venezuela, have gotten much worse today. Moms are waiting in lines, literally collapsing, hoping for food that never arrives for their children.

Men and women are literally hunting cats and dogs, looking for some way, any way, to feed their families.

"This is socialism in practice," the video concludes. "Socialism kills."

  • otten so bad that it's almost unbelievable.
  • People are hunting cats and dogs for food, and a man was literally burned alive for stealing $5.
  • This is what socialism in practice looks like. It's poverty, starvation, and desperation.

Woodrow Wilson Center: "Giant Number of Refugees" Are Result of Climate Change

    By Rick Pearcey • June 27, 2016, 10:13 AM

That's Right, Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls: "Climate Refugees."

So says Jane Harmon, CEO of the Woodrow Wilson Center.

And by the way, Jane Harmon, who is a woman, also says, "Women could hold . . . the keys to solving the climate challenge."

And so, for example, there's reportedly a woman in Indonesia who wants to save the trees.

"My people regard the Earth as the human body," "Mama" Aleta Baun of Indonesia is quoted as saying. "Stone is our bone. Water is our blood. Land is our flesh. Forest is our hair. If one of them is taken away, we are paralyzed."

For the national security of this woman and her people, they might not want this information to get out to potential enemies. Invaders might cut down a forest and paralyze a people's ability to defend itself.

Trump Meets With More Than 1,000 Evangelical, Pro-Life Leaders

    By Rick Pearcey • June 23, 2016, 07:35 AM

    Lisa Bourne reports at LifeSiteNews:

Over 1000 evangelical, pro-life and conservative leaders assembled for a closed-door meeting with Donald Trump Tuesday, ready to size up the presumptive GOP nominee and his commitment to issues of concern to faith-based voters.

Originally planned as a private gathering of 400 social conservatives, "A Conversation About America's Future with Donald Trump" was organized by the Christian groups United in Purpose and My Faith Votes.

Attendees of the invitation-only event were treated to a mixed bag of answers from Trump and came away with varied reactions.

The event drew some 50,000 questions for Trump on topics such as religious freedom, homosexuality, abortion and Supreme Court appointees, submitted to organizers in advance.

"Religious leaders heard responses to their liking from Trump in the areas of religious freedom and potential Supreme Court appointments, but some expressed concern afterwards that he didn't say enough on the life issue, and appeared to skirt other matters, including directly addressing threats to religious liberty via the advance of the gay rights agenda," LifeSiteNews reports.

"This is the beginning of the conversation. Not the end," Tony Perkins of the Farmily Research Council said, according to LifeSiteNews.

"Immediately after the meeting the Trump campaign announced a new evangelical executive advisory board, who will also lead a larger faith and cultural advisory committee, to be announced later in the month," LifeSiteNews reports.

"While it remains to be seen whether evangelicals and other Christians will get behind the Trump candidacy," LifeSiteNews concludes its report, "the consensus at the end of the day was that Christians must unite and mobilize to exercise their substantive voting bloc, and conversations between them and Trump would continue over the months leading up to the election."

U.K. Girls Schools Instructed Not to Call Students "Girls"

    By Rick Pearcey • June 22, 2016, 10:11 AM

"Teachers at a conference for U.K. girls' schools last week were instructed to call students 'pupils' instead of 'girls' so as to avoid offending the gender-confused," Mark Hodges reports at LifeSiteNews.

No word yet on whether U.K. mathematicians should tell students that 2 apples plus 2 apples equals 4 apples so as to avoid offending the math-confused.

There is word, however, that university physicists are instructing teachers not to tell students that "here" differs from "there" so as to avoid offending the spatially confused.

How Obama's Blackout on "Radical Islam" Leads to Dots Going Unconnected

    By Rick Pearcey • June 20, 2016, 10:10 AM

    From the NYPost:

Here's a painful truth: Nearly 15 years after 9/11, US counterterror efforts failed to thwart the Orlando attacker. As they failed to prevent San Bernardino, Calif., Garland, Texas. Boston. Fort Hood . . .

And yet, in every one of those cases, the feds had their chance. Is something hobbling federal counterterror efforts?

Horowitz on Hannity: Muslim Brotherhood Is Running Our National Security Policy

    By Rick Pearcey • June 17, 2016, 10:58 AM

    Chris Pandolfo writes at CR:

Thursday on The Sean Hannity Show, Conservative Review Senior Editor Daniel Horowitz appeared as a guest to discuss the Obama administration's reckless refugee resettlement policy.

Horowitz discussed the Obama administration's self-described "condensing" of the refugee vetting process -- a shortening of the time it takes to vet the refugees with the end goal of accepting as many refugees as possible.

Not only is the vetting process not working properly, but there are Obama administration officials with ties to groups like the Muslim Brotherhood overseeing the process.

"We are allowing the terrorist sympathizers and supporters, the foxes to guard the hen-house," CR quotes Horowitz saying on the Hannity show. .

"Further, the presumptive Democratic Party nominee for president Hillary Clinton has accepted over $20 million in donations from Saudi Arabia, a regime that abuses women and kills homosexuals," Pandolfo writes.

How does all of this impact Americans? "The ruling class has conflicts of interest in our national security policy, and they are making Americans less safe," Pandolfo concludes.

Muslim Privilege Killed 49 People in Orlando

    By Rick Pearcey • June 16, 2016, 09:08 AM

    Daniel Greenfield writes at Frontpagemag:

There is a direct line between Omar's Muslim privilege and the Pulse massacre.

Omar Mateen's Muslim privilege protected him from consequences. While the media studiously paints the image of a beleaguered population of American Muslims suffering the stigma of constant suspicion, Omar's Muslim background actually served as a shield and excused behavior that would have been unacceptable for anyone else.

Omar Mateen's Muslim privilege shielded him until he was actually murdering non-Muslims.

And Omar's case is not unique. The Fort Hood killer, Nidal Hasan, handed out business cards announcing that he was a Jihadist. He delivered a presentation justifying suicide bombings, but no action was taken.

Like Omar, the FBI was aware of Hasan. It knew that he was talking to Al Qaeda bigwig Anwar Al-Awlaki, yet nothing was done. Instead of worrying about his future victims, the FBI was concerned that investigating him and interviewing him would "harm Hasan's career."

And we might note, Mr. Obama, that "Omar wasn’t radicalized by the 'internet'," Greenfield continues.

Rather, "he got his ideas from Islamic clerics who got their ideas from Islam. He was 'radicalized' by the holiest texts of Islam. Just like every other Muslim terrorist. His actions weren't "senseless" or "nihilistic," he was acting out the Muslim privilege of a bigoted ideology."

Imam "Facetiously" Tells Fox News Host "Some Journalists Need to Be Beheaded"

    By Rick Pearcey • June 15, 2016, 09:28 AM

Tre Goins-Phillips reports at The Blaze:

Imam Abu Taubah, whose real name is Marcus Robertson, believes "some journalists need to be beheaded," a bold statement he insisted was said "facetiously."

Speaking Tuesday with Fox News host Greta Van Susteren about the deadly Orlando terrorist attack, which he condemned, Taubah suggested the fact that radical Islamists behead American reporters, like James Foley, is not the U.S.'s business.

"I believe some journalists need to be beheaded," he said, "but I wouldn’t have done that."

"Don’t we have our own problems here?" he asked. "Is it our business?"

"He told Van Susteren he does not believe the U.S. should do anything about the fact that radicals in the Middle East are beheading people, to include Americans," the Blaze reports.

Explosive Video: "Trusted" Google Is Rigging Search Results to Favor Election of Hillary Clinton

    By Rick Pearcey • June 10, 2016, 12:56 PM

    Allum Bokhari writes at Breitbart:

Earlier this week, we reported on accusations that Google is in cahoots with the Clinton campaign.

Now, an explosive video from SourceFed claims that the company -- which holds a virtual monopoly on search -- is actively altering search recommendations in favour of the presumptive Democratic nominee.

In this video, Matt Lieberman of SourceFed presents evidence (and answers objections) supporting the finding that "Google is burying potential searches for terms that could have hurt Hillary Clinton in the primary elections over the past several months by manipulating recommendations on their site."

The video notes a "stunning number of links" between Google and the Clinton campaign and states that these links "all stem" from "one particular person."

That person, Lieberman explains, is  "Eric Schmidt, the executive chairman of Google's parent company Alphabet, Inc."

Schmidt is "also the former head of Google" and a "major funder of The Groundwork . . . ," which is an "investment by Schmidt to ensure that Hillary Clinton has the technological and engineering prowess to win the election," Lieberman states.

In addition, the Clinton campaign's "chief technology officer" is Stephanie Hannon, who is a "former Google executive."

These connections, Lieberman continues, "showcase a man who has a clear and invested interest in how our country is run and is actively funding one candidate to run it while the company he advises is warping search results in her favor.

Does this warping, this manipulation make any real difference in election outcomes?

"In fact, it really, really does," states Lieberman, citing the research of Dr. Robert Epstein of the American Institute for Behavioral Research and Technology (based in Vista, California).

With reference to what is termed "voter manipulation power," Epstein is quoted as saying that "Google could determine the outcome of upwards of 25 percent of all national elections."

"What we have discovered about Google's potential actions is shocking and deeply disturbing," Lieberman concludes. "I no longer have the trust that I once did in the company at large and what they are meant to represent."

Go here to watch Matt Lieberman of SourceFed make the case that Google has been "actively altering search recommendations in favor of Hillary Clinton's campaign."

Rev. Graham: "I Hope" Schools "Defy" Extremist Obama's Promotion of "Sin of Homosexuality," the "LGBT Agenda"

    By Rick Pearcey • June 9, 2016, 10:07 AM

Michael Chapman at CNSNews.com reports on Graham's remarks:

"Who does President Barack Obama think he is? The sultan of Washington?" said Rev. Graham on a May 13 post on Facebook

"Does he think he can just make a 'decree' and we will bow down and simply obey?" said Rev. Graham, the son of pastor Billy Graham.

“The decree he released . . . says that all schools across the country have to allow students to choose the restrooms and locker rooms according to 'their internal sense of gender,'" explained the evangelist.  “If schools don’t comply, he threatens loss of funding and lawsuits from the federal government."

"What about the privacy and protection of all the other students?" Graham asked. "Isn't this discrimination against all of them? This opens up bathrooms to sexual predators and perverts. A decree does not carry the force of law -- that's the job of Congress."

Said Graham: "I hope that school districts across this nation will defy President Obama and his administration's radical progressive agenda to promote and advance the sin of homosexuality and the LGBT agenda."

    "Transgenderism" Added to Kindergarten Curriculum

    By Rick Pearcey • June 8, 2016, 09:00 AM

"Students as young as five years old -- kindergartners -- are going to be taught about the ins and outs of 'transgenderism' in all public schools in Washington, beginning in the fall 2017 semester," Cheryl Chumley reports at WND.

In fact, no child of any age should be subjected to extremist "transgender" propaganda.

But if parents really want to protect their children from systematic fanaticism now, and if they want protect their nation from the enslaving impact of systematic fanaticism after their children have been thoroughly indoctrinated and radicalized, they would do well to insist upon parental responsibility and authority over the education of those who, after all, are in fact their children.

And that needs to happen now, if not yesterday. Forever end the monopoly and the failure of state control over education.

Trump Endorses Rep. Renee Ellmers, Who Led Revolt Against Pro-Life Law

    By Rick Pearcey • June 7, 2016, 09:52 AM

"Donald Trump has made his first endorsement since becoming the presumptive Republican nominee, backing Rep. Renee Ellmers, the North Carolina congresswoman who led a revolt to scuttle the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act in 2015," Ben Johnson reports at LifeSiteNews

"Ellmers is facing a tough primary challenge from fellow incumbent Rep. George Holding and numerous other pro-life conservatives [today]," Johnson writes.

In a robocall Trump reportedly states: "Boy is she a fighter . . . . I need her help in Washington so we can work together to defeat ISIS, secure our border, and bring back jobs and frankly so many other things. And Renee knows how to do it. She gets it."

Trump's endorsement of Elmers is "just another disappointment from Mr. Trump and his campaign," states president of Students for Life of America Kristan Hawkins, LifeSite reports. "Either his endorsement shows a lack of understanding of our human rights movement or a lack of caring."

D-Day, June 6, 1944: Eisenhower, Reagan, and What the Germans Were Told

    By Rick Pearcey • June 6, 2016, 10:30 AM

    At History.com, this on D-Day, June 6, 1944:

During World War II (1939-1945), the Battle of Normandy, which lasted from June 1944 to August 1944, resulted in the Allied liberation of Western Europe from Nazi Germany's control.

Codenamed Operation Overlord, the battle began on June 6, 1944, also known as D-Day, when some 156,000 American, British and Canadian forces landed on five beaches along a 50-mile stretch of the heavily fortified coast of France's Normandy region.

The invasion was one of the largest amphibious military assaults in history and required extensive planning. Prior to D-Day, the Allies conducted a large-scale deception campaign designed to mislead the Germans about the intended invasion target.

By late August 1944, all of northern France had been liberated, and by the following spring the Allies had defeated the Germans. The Normandy landings have been called the beginning of the end of war in Europe.

In his speech to the Allied troops of D-Day, Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower beseeched the "blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking."

Eisenhower's prayer (and not today's fanatical ACLU-type imposed secularism) reflects the mainstream of the American ethos, which as the Declaration makes so clear, is rooted in the Creator as the source of unalienable human rights, which the progressive Nazi ideology and regime had no basis whatsoever for affirming.

On the 40th anniversary of D-Day, as shown in this video, President Ronald Reagan spoke at Pointe du Hoc, where "here in Normandy, the rescue began. Here the Allies stood and fought against tyranny in a giant undertaking unparalleled in human history."

This rare color video captures events from D-Day to the liberation of Paris in August 1944.

What were the German people told about D-Day? Here is a German newsreel on the events of June 6, 1944: "The enemy encounter strong resistance and suffer heavy casualties."

"Roots" Remake: Snoop Dog Got It Right

    By Rick Pearcey • June 3, 2016, 09:49 AM

Lloyd Marcus writes at American Thinker:

Black pop icon Snoop Dogg's comments about the remake of the Roots TV series, in essence, is what I have been preaching to fellow blacks for decades (without his profanity).

Snoop said, "I'm sick of this s---. They are going to just keep beating that s--- into our heads about how they did us, huh?" Snoop spoke against new shows and movies such as 12 Years a Slave which "keep showing the abuse we took hundreds and hundreds of years ago."

Snoop said, "I ain't watching that s---, and I advise you motherf---ers as real n------ like myself; f--- them television shows." Snoop continued, "Let's create our own s--- based on today, how we live and how we inspire people today. Black is what's real. F--- that old s---."

Black Lives Matter Leader Charged With Sex Trafficking Also an Alleged Charity "Scammer"

    By Rick Pearcey • June 2, 2016, 08:40 AM

Chuck Ross reports at the Daily Caller:

In addition to being an accused child sex trafficker, Black Lives Matter activist Charles Wade is a financial "scammer," says a lawyer for a St. Louis real estate developer who lost more than $10,000 after Wade skipped town last year without paying rent.

By some estimates, Wade, a former stylist for Beyonce Knowles' sister Solange, took in hundreds of thousands of dollars in online donations for a group called Operation Help or Hush (OHOH) that he co-founded in the wake of the Aug. 9, 2014, police shooting of Michael Brown. The group's stated mission was to provide temporary housing for protesters in the St. Louis area.

"Wade, 33, drew national attention earlier this month after The Daily Caller reported that he was arrested on April 25 on sex trafficking charges," Ross reports. "Police in College Park, Md. say that Wade pimped out a 17-year-old girl using the website backpage.com. She told police that she gave Wade all of the money she was paid to have sex and that Wade knew she was only 17."

Ben Shapiro: Notes From a Neo-Nazi, Neo-KKK Cuckservative

    By Rick Pearcey • June 1, 2016, 09:38 AM

    Shapiro writes at Conservative Review:

Last week, California State University, Los Angeles held a "healing space" event to provide a safe forum for students and professors to unleash their feelings about my campus speech in February, sponsored by the Young America's Foundation. That speech, you may recall, was originally canceled by university President William Covino.

After I decided to go to the campus anyway, hundreds of screaming students blocked doorways, assaulted prospective speechgoers and pulled the fire alarm mid-speech. Professors egged on the protesters; one even threatened student organizers. I was forced to enter through a back door and exit surrounded by a full phalanx of armed and uniformed officers, thanks to the near-riotous conditions outside. . . .

"The campus left, enthused by Sen. Bernie Sanders and sought by Hillary Clinton, calls anyone who disagrees a 'neo-KKK member'," Shapiro explains.

"The KKK, meanwhile, calls anyone who won't support Donald Trump a 'cuck.' This is what happens when basic American principles are no longer taught; this is what happens when grievance politics replace the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America.

"Speaking in favor of free speech makes you a pariah for those who would control speech in order to build their utopia.

"So, what about those of us who despise both the KKK and the Black Lives Matter movement?" Shapiro asks. "What about those of us who think that white nationalism is despicable, and that the censorious brutality of the 'diversity' clique is gross?

"We've got a long road ahead of us," Shapiro concludes. "We'll have to teach a new generation, from scratch, that freedom and liberty still matter, regardless of race. We'll have to attempt to restore the notion of a social fabric, rather than the tribalism that now dominates the conversation. We'll have to stand tall against authoritarianism from both sides."
