Viva Diversity!!! Federal Court Blocks Obama Regime's Extremist Trans Agenda

By Rick Pearcey • August 22, 2016, 04:21 PM

Ken Klukowski reports at Breitbart:

A federal judge has ruled in favor of 13 states against President Barack Obama's directive that public schools must allow students and adults to enter whatever bathrooms or showers they choose, a policy imposing transgenderism on the nation's schools.

Among the reasons the judge ruled that Obama's unilateral action is illegal is "because it violates the meaning of 'sex' in Title VII and Title IX, making the directive contrary to law," Klukowski writes.

The meaning of "sex" in Title VII and Title IX has nothing to do with how a 3rd-grader feels on Tuesday at 10 a.m. -- whether that feeling is "girlish" or "boyish." The meaning has rather to do with the biological facts of life, such that young males are biologically boys and young females are biologically girls. It's a wonderful diversity that respects the facts of life.

Why does Obama seek to crush this diversity?

Sometimes, it seems, politicians lose their way. Especially when they lust after power. And especially when they view government power as the means to impose their very private, fact-challenged personal belief system.

What's more, if they can cloak that lust in focus-group tested propaganda ("discrimination!" "equality!"), so much the better -- for the lustful politician, that is, not so much for the people over whom the Mussolinis seek to lord it over.

But, someone has said, "Facts are stubborn things." And thank the God of facts, evidence, evaluation, and critical thinking for that.

I'll tell you a secret: There's a really wonderful kind of discrimination called noticing the differences between male and female, boys and girls, men and women.

No doubt, Obama himself practiced discrimination when he chose his wife, Michelle, discriminating not only against all men but also discriminating against all other women.

I am sure that this would be an ongoing discrimination that wife Michelle might mightily agree with and respect.

And because of that "discrimination," just one woman (Michelle) now enjoys a very unequal amount of access to a man who not only is her husband but also is the president of the United States.

Clearly: This is good discrimination performed on behalf of a wonderful diversity. And a rather large tip of the hat to the joys of inequality, too.

But Obama's extremist transgenderism is anything but good and wonderful. For it rejects the facts of life and it seeks to impose upon all America a relativistic ideology that in principle alienates a person's "gender" from that person's biological sex.

That's not governance, it's fanatcism. And the guilty party is Obama.

That's not respect, it's alienation. And the divisive one is Obama.

Let's celebrate this victory of common sense rooted in facts over against extremist politics rooted in fanaticism.

Intelligence "tests everything" and revolts when necessary. We shall overcome.

NBA, Listen Up: With Trans Regime, Say Goodbye to Women's Sports

By Rick Pearcey • August 2, 2016, 10:48 AM

Melody Wood writes at CNSNews.com:

How far does the NBA want transgender "rights" to go?

The NBA stepped into the culture war with its recent decision to move the 2017 All-Star Game out of Charlotte, North Carolina, citing "the climate created by HB2," the bill that requires government single-sex bathrooms be available only to people on basis of the sex on their birth certificate.

And in so stepping, the NBA may have landed upon a minefield of massive proportion. This is because, as Wood writes, "Bathrooms and locker rooms aren't the only area where transgender activists could demand changes. In fact, sports itself -- not just the bathrooms used by its fans -- could be affected."

Has the politically correct NBA actually thought through where its position leads when applied to other areas of life? Consider: "Would the NBA's sister organization, the WNBA, be willing to let any current NBA player who decides to identify as a female compete on a woman's team?," Wood asks.

Human beings in fact are physically diverse, with enjoyable differences -- attractive inequalities, one might say -- due to any number of factors, including the sexual biological given of whether one is male or female.

And if you want lack of joy, and structural unfairness, try pretending these differences are somehow unreal or simply don't matter or can be overridden by personal feelings or political dictates.

Wood notes how such a pretense would impact negatively upon the WNBA:

Of course, allowing biological men into the WNBA could be unfair to current WNBA players and the many women and girls who aspire to a career in basketball. After all, the average male in his 20s outjumps 95 percent of all women of the same age, and only a handful of WNBA players can dunk.

But if the NBA believes preferred gender identity, not biological sex, is what matters, it naturally follows that men who now identify as women, perhaps without even having any medical treatment, should play in the WNBA, not NBA.

The terminus point of transgender theorizing is clear: Denying the biological facts of life is itself a pathway to unfairness and new forms of discrimination. Surely, there's a better way to cast out old demons than by inviting in new demons.

It is crucial to understand the real-world results of this political ideology that requires an alienation from one's physicality. "If all women's sports are opened to those who identify as women, regardless of genetics, biology, muscle mass, physiology, hormones, and bone structure -- in other words, regardless of sex -- we'll begin seeing many more girls and women who won't be able to compete because of physical differences between men and women," Wood writes.

"This just isn't fair to women athletes and would reverse the long fought battles to end discrimination against women and girls in sports," she argues.

"The NBA's decision to move the All-Star Game from Charlotte is an unnecessary use of cultural cronyism to promote a political ideology currently in vogue," Wood concludes. "And the ideology it is promoting may eventually lead to the demise of women's sports as a unique venue where women can compete and win fairly."

Life precedes sport, and itself affirms a fact-based set of rules. Follow them and there's beauty -- both in life and in sport. Ignore them, and it's game over.

Abusive Fanatics: Drunk Men Use Trans Law to Invade Women's Bathroom

By Rick Pearcey • July 29, 2016, 10:35 AM

Lianne Laurence reports at LifeSiteNews:

An Alberta tavern has come under fire for banning men — whether or not they are presenting or transitioning into "women" — from using the women's bathroom.

But Medicine Hat's Corona Tavern says it did so because drunken men claiming to be transgendered have been entering the women's bathroom since Rachel Notley's NDP government passed its "trans rights" Bill 7.

"This has caused some young female patrons to feel unsafe and threatened," the bar's management said in a Tuesday press release.

"Make America Great Again?" Homosex PayPal Founder's RNC Speech Further Muddies Waters on Trump's Agenda

By Rick Pearcey • July 22, 2016, 12:29 PM

Lisa Bourne writes at LifeSiteNews:

Trump's mixed message on social issues was further augmented by the choice to feature [homosexual PayPal founder Peter] Thiel because of PayPal's record of support for Planned Parenthood and homosexual activism.

PayPal has spent years on Life Decisions International’s Planned Parenthood Boycott list, landing there as recently as 2015

The global payment company bowed several years ago to homosexual activist pressure to deny service to a Christian ministry and a Christian blogger because of their so-called "hate" and "extremism."

PayPal's more recent fiscal move against the state of North Carolina for enacting legislation supporting its residents’ privacy and security was a blow to both religious freedom and jobs in the area.

"PayPal pulled out of plans to open a global operations center in Charlotte in response to Gov. Pat McCrory having signed H.B. 2 into law, overturning the Charlotte City ordinance forcing businesses to give biological males access to female restrooms and showers. PayPal's move cost the area 400 jobs," Bourne writes.

Comment: If Donald Trump wants to "make America great again," he will need to reject any form of extremism that despises the building blocks of human freedom and dignity, as expressed politically and governmentally, for example, in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.

Despite its politically correct public relations, the homosexualist LGBTQ agenda is a prime example of such extremism, for it 1) despises the verifiable Judeo-Christian worldview that undergirds the U.S. founding, 2) despises an open, honest, fair, and fact-based analysis of its extremist viewpoint, and 3) is trying to replace the only known adequate basis for human freedom and dignity with a relativistic will-to-power agenda that has far too much in common with the brutal and bloody fascisms and socialisms of the 20th century than with any basis that could possible "make America great again."

Both intellectually and in practice, this homosexualist extremism bespeaks an agenda that is fanatical, imperious, and dangerous. Its pride is precisely the kind of pride that "goes before destruction."

Intelligence, freedom of thought, a respect for the facts of life, the affirmation of human freedom and dignity -- in a verifiable life in community with God and man, as opposed to the fear-of-facts anti-community required by homosexualist fanaticism -- this is the humane and mainstream position of the American experiment in political and human exceptionalism.

If Trump wants change that is positive and humane, this is the way to go. To share in the extremist LGBTQ agenda is to internalize the seeds of your own destruction.

This is true of individuals and of nations. But for the free-thinking person and for a liberty-minded nation, this need not be so and indeed cannot be so.

It is impossible to "make America great again" while rejecting the principles that made America great in the first place.

Surely, Donald Trump knows skyscrapers need strong foundations if they are to last, and that a mixture of shoddy work with exemplary work is a recipe for disaster -- no matter how good the PR or how shiny the press releases. May he apply that lesson to the challenge of making America great again.

"Transgenderism" Added to Kindergarten Curriculum

By Rick Pearcey • June 8, 2016, 09:00 AM

"Students as young as five years old -- kindergartners -- are going to be taught about the ins and outs of 'transgenderism' in all public schools in Washington, beginning in the fall 2017 semester," Cheryl Chumley reports at WND.

In fact, no child of any age should be subjected to extremist "transgender" propaganda.

But if parents really want to protect their children from systematic fanaticism now, and if they want protect their nation from the enslaving impact of systematic fanaticism after their children have been thoroughly indoctrinated and radicalized, they would do well to insist upon parental responsibility and authority over the education of those who, after all, are in fact their children.

And that needs to happen now, if not yesterday. Forever end the monopoly and the failure of state control over education.

Nancy Pearcey: Darwin's Dangerous Idea Invades the School Restroom

By Rick Pearcey • May 26, 2016, 10:28 AM

Nancy writes at Uncommon Descent:

The public has responded swiftly and strongly against the Obama administration’s demand that public schools admit transgender students into the showers, locker rooms, and sports teams of their choice. But to be successful, the response must also be informed. Where did transgender ideology come from, and how can we respond more effectively?

The answer may surprise you. If we dig deeply, we discover that the turning point, historically, was Darwin’s theory of evolution. It had a lasting impact in at least three ways.

Matter Does Not Matter

Let’s tease out its impact through the language of the transgender movement. California set the tone in 2007 when it changed its education code to define gender as “a person’s gender identity and gender related appearance and behavior whether or not stereotypically associated with the person’s assigned sex at birth.”

What’s the key word here? “Assigned.” As though a person’s sex at birth were purely arbitrary instead of a scientific, biological fact.

What such language implies is that biological facts do not matter. The law is being used to impose a worldview that denigrates the physical body as inconsequential, insignificant, and irrelevant to gender identity. It is a worldview that alienates people from their own bodies. As Anglican theologian Oliver O’Donovan writes, transgender ideology implies that “the body is an accident that has befallen the real me; the real me has a true sex” apart from my body.

Where did such a negative view of the body come from? From Darwin’s rejection of purpose and design in nature. Both classical Greek and Christian philosophy regarded the natural world as teleological – from the Greek telos, meaning purpose or goal. It is evident that eyes are for seeing and ears for hearing; fins are for swimming and wings for flying. The only reason molecules are arranged in those particular configurations is to achieve a purpose.

Because the human body is part of nature, it too was recognized as having a purpose. The sexual differentiation of male and female was not some cosmic accident. It showed that the human body is oriented toward opposite-sex pair-bonding for emotional attachment and procreation. Teleology is the basis for naturallaw ethics: It tells us how to fulfill our true nature, how to become fully human.

Darwin did not deny that nature appears to be designed for a purpose. But he wanted to reduce that appearance to an illusion, the result of a purposeless material process. The two elements of his theory, random variations sifted by the blind automatic forces of natural selection, were proposed expressly to eliminate plan or purpose.

As historian Jacques Barzun writes, “This denial of purpose is Darwin’s distinctive contention.”

The implication of the Darwinian worldview is that the biological differentiation of male and female is a cosmic accident. The body was reduced to raw material that can be manipulated and controlled to serve human needs and preferences – like any other natural resource. Gender identity is strictly in the mind, even to the point of overriding biological identity. Matter does not matter.

This was “Darwin’s dangerous idea,” says philosopher Daniel Dennett in a book by that title. He describes Darwinism as a “universal acid; it eats through just about every traditional concept and leaves in its wake a revolutionized world-view.”

Now Louisiana Tells Schools to Ignore Obama's Dead-on-Arrival Transgender Order

By Rick Pearcey • May 19, 2016, 09:52 AM

"Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry said the [Obama] order lacks not just the force of law, but any constitutional standing or common sense," LifeSiteNews reports.

"In his own letter to state educational leaders, Landry said he wrote 'to reassure' them that he 'will vigorously defend the state and its citizens from unlawful action threatened on the basis of this incorrect interpretation of law'," LifeSite reports.

"Let me be perfectly clear," Landry states in his letter, "President Obama and his appointees do not have legal authority to require our children share locker rooms and bathrooms with children of the oppositive sex."

Louisiana thus "joins the growing list of states that told the Obama administration its transgender guidelines are dead on arrival and will not be implemented in the remaining months of his lame duck presidency," LifeSiteNews states.

Lynch: States Can't "Insist" a Man Is a Man and a Woman Is a Woman, If Person Feels Otherwise

By Rick Pearcey • May 10, 2016, 10:11 AM

Susan Jones reports at CNSNews.com:

The U.S. Justice Department is putting the feelings of transgenders -- men who think they are women and women who think they are men -- above the privacy rights of the vast majority of people who don't contest the biological facts of who they actually are.

Trans-Hate Tyranny: The Queer War Against Male-Female Diversity

By Rick Pearcey • May 9, 2016, 11:19 AM

"The battle over men accessing women's bathrooms and vice versa has little do with bathrooms or even transgenderism, a well-known LGBT activist admitted last week," Claire Chretien writes at LifeSiteNews.

"It has everything to do with re-working society and getting rid of the 'heterobinary structure' in which we live -- eliminating distinctions between 'male' and 'female' altogether."

Or as a surgically altered extremist called Riki Wilchins puts it, "What really needs to be contested here is not just our right to use bathrooms with dignity . . . , but the entire underlying hetero-binary structuring of the world queers must inhabit."

Metro Houston: Christian Daycare Workers Fired for Refusing to Call a Little Girl a Boy

By Rick Pearcey • November 6, 2015, 02:29 PM

Lana Shadwick reports at Breitbart:

Two daycare workers have been fired for refusing to go along with the center's transgender agenda. Madeline Kirksey, one of the workers who is an author of a Christian book, says her religious liberty rights have been violated. The two were fired after refusing to call a little girl a boy.

The two male parents of a six-year-old little girl told employees at the school to refer to their daughter as a boy, and to call her by a new masculine name. The little girl's hair had also been cut like a boy's.

Kirksey, "and another worker who does not want to be identified, were fired from the Childrens' Lighthouse Learning Center in Katy, Texas, a city just west of Houston," Breitbart reports.

Will someone please rise up to protect this 6-year-old girl from these abusive "male parents"?

And, by the way, loving parents might want to think twice about putting their children in the hands of any unenlightened school or center that fails to respect the wonder and diversity of the male-female distinction and its grounding as a biological fact of life.

You can contact the Children's Lighthouse Learning Center in Katy, Texas, by calling 281-395-4466.

Expert: Transgender Surgery Isn't the Solution

By Rick Pearcey • June 5, 2015, 07:52 AM

See this from Dr. Paul McHugh, former psychiatrist in chief at Johns Hopkins Hospital, writing in the Wall Street Journal in June 2014:

The government and media alliance advancing the transgender cause has gone into overdrive in recent weeks.

On May 30, a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services review board ruled that Medicare can pay for the "reassignment" surgery sought by the transgendered -- those who say that they don't identify with their biological sex.

Earlier last month Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said that he was "open" to lifting a ban on transgender individuals serving in the military. Time magazine, seeing the trend, ran a cover story for its June 9 issue called "The Transgender Tipping Point: America's next civil rights frontier."

Yet policy makers and the media are doing no favors either to the public or the transgendered by treating their confusions as a right in need of defending rather than as a mental disorder that deserves understanding, treatment and prevention.

This intensely felt sense of being transgendered constitutes a mental disorder in two respects. The first is that the idea of sex misalignment is simply mistaken -- it does not correspond with physical reality. The second is that it can lead to grim psychological outcomes.

Final paragraph: "At the heart of the problem is confusion over the nature of the transgendered. 'Sex change' is biologically impossible. People who undergo sex-reassignment surgery do not change from men to women or vice versa. Rather, they become feminized men or masculinized women.

"Claiming that this is civil-rights matter and encouraging surgical intervention is in reality to collaborate with and promote a mental disorder."

School District: Feds Forced Policy Allowing Transgenders to Use Bathrooms of Their Choice

By Rick Pearcey • May 8, 2015, 12:04 PM

The Money, the Power, the Oppression, and the Corruption: Fairfax County Public Schools in northern Virginia say "they were mandated by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights to add 'gender identity' to [its nondiscrimination] policy — or else risk losing federal funding," Todd Starnes writes at Fox News.

Read this story. In it, you see community leaders such as pastor Martin Baker of Burke Community Church take a stand, saying, "The damage and destruction to our children, teens and impacted adults will be incalculable.”

Baker warned in an email to his 3,000-member church that “everything from locker rooms to bathrooms will be potentially open for people who simply feel that their inner sexuality does not match their outer, physical sexuality."

School board member Elizabeth Schultz is outraged, according to Starnes. "While the underlying issue is somewhat sensational, it is the gravitas in overreach of the federal government and the implications thereof that is so very chilling,” she is quoted as telling Starnes.

"It could have implications for every public school district in the nation. If they’re going to come for us, they’re going to come to them next," Schultz said.

This story, and so many others like it, ought to send chills up the spine of any person who cares about education, who cares about students, and who cares about reasserting and sustaining a humane society in the United States.

We must realize that the attacks of secularists in government, and in other centers of cultural power, upon the freedom and dignity of Americans of all ages and in every sphere of society will continue for ever and ever, creating evermore havoc and hell on earth, until "We the People" rise up and throw the oppressor into the deep blue sea.

LGBTs Lose as Scores Protest Gender-Bender Rules

By Rick Pearcey • March 3, 2015, 09:30 AM

Cheryl Chumley reports at WND:

Hundreds turned out to speak to a proposed ordinance in Charlotte, N.C., that would have allowed transgenders the legal right to use whichever bathroom they most identified with, regardless of their physical genders.

And after roughly five hours of debate, the proposal failed, 6-5, the Charlotte Observer reported.

"All over the world, there are restrooms for men and restrooms for women," GOP City Councilman Ed Driggs is quoted as saying. "It does not place an unreasonable burden on them and it does not stigmatize them."

"Kenny Smith, another Republican on the City Council, denied the measure was even about anti-discrimination," WND reports. "[This is an agenda to] impose the progressive left's new morality on our citizens,” the Charlotte Observer quotes Smith as saying.
