Fox: Pamela Geller on Obama's Birth Certificate -- Video

By Rick Pearcey • April 28, 2011, 07:10 AM

Big Questions Remain: This Fox Business video segment indicates that the saga of Obama's birth certificate, and of who is the real Obama behind the birth certificate, on our TV screens, and occupying the White House, may be far from over.

Trump: "It's a Very Strange President We Have"

By Rick Pearcey • April 28, 2011, 05:40 AM

Newsmax reports:

In the immediate aftermath of the White House’s release of President Obama’s birth certificate, billionaire Donald Trump came out with guns blazing in an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV.

Trump described President Obama as a “very strange president” for not releasing his birth certificate promptly, as well as other personal records still being withheld.

He also lambasted the president for his foreign and economic policies that have made him a “laughingstock.”

Tennessee Considers Banning Teaching Homosexuality in Schools

By Rick Pearcey • April 27, 2011, 07:04 AM

"Public school teachers in Tennessee could lose their tenure or their jobs for discussing homosexuality with their students under a new bill," reports Fox News

This bill appears to be a good start. Of course teachers should not impose upon students false and pretended social norms that so deeply violate our humanity, our bodies, our male-female diversity, and our life in community with the Creator (see the Declaration of Independence).

On the other hand, of course teachers ought to be able to discuss homosexuality. Living in community with one's neighbor is greatly helped by factually and ethically cautioning others against behaviors and choices that invite personal, social, and civil breakdown.

The way of America is that of the reality-oriented Creator, not of la-la-land San Francisco. Bravo to Tennessee for even considering encouraging teachers to help liberate students from homosexualist oppression.

Male and female created in the image of God. Viva la difference!

Obama and Harvard: Is Donald Trump Right?

By Rick Pearcey • April 27, 2011, 06:35 AM
Author and columnist Jack Cashill writes

The irrepressible Donald Trump has raised still another question the major media have dared not to ask: Did Barack Obama qualify for Columbia and Harvard on his own accomplishments?

"How does a bad student go to Columbia and then to Harvard?" asked Trump of the Associated Press. "I'm thinking about it, I'm certainly looking into it. Let him show his records."

Trump asks a very good question for which the anti-journalists of the major media have no good answer. So allow me to fill in the gaps.

Despite Obama's Claim, the Poor Not Getting Poorer

By Rick Pearcey • April 26, 2011, 08:41 AM

Caroline May writes at The Daily Caller:

In his mid-April speech on the budget deficit, President Obama echoed conventional wisdom when he cited the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer as a reason to raise taxes on the wealthy in order to reduce the national debt.

Research, published at The Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, from Cornell economist Richard Burkhauser, Joint Committee on Taxation economist Jeff Larrimore, and Indiana University economist Kosali Simon, however, suggests that the president’s piece of conventional wisdom isn’t entirely accurate.

According to the findings, while the rich have indeed been getting richer, for the last 30 years so too have the poor and middle class.

By Rick Pearcey • April 21, 2011, 07:43 AM

Any Republican in Iowa Certain of Obama's Birth?

By Rick Pearcey • April 20, 2011, 07:05 AM

"A new poll shows only 26 percent of Republicans in Iowa believe President Obama was born in the United States."

No Time for Civility

By Rick Pearcey • April 20, 2011, 06:30 AM

"The conservative movement and the Republicans are more to blame than the left for the state of the nation due to their past and current passivity, pessimism, and obsession with civility," writes Steve McCann at American Thinker.

Or put it like this: When a stranger enters your home at night and threatens wife, children, life, and limb, the loving thing to do (and the truly civil thing to do) is to kick him out with such force that he never tries that stupidity and immorality ever again -- whether against you, your family, or anyone else. Overcoming evil with good is true civility.

CPAC Dumps Director Who Ridiculed Eligibility Issue

By Rick Pearcey • April 19, 2011, 07:23 AM

WND reports:

The staff director of the nation's largest annual gathering of conservatives was dismissed by the American Conservative Union today, a year after publicly embracing the homosexual activist group GOProud and ridiculing those suggesting Barack Obama had not proven his constitutional eligibility to serve as president.

In a board meeting, the ACU, the host of the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, voted to replace Lisa De Pasquale as executive director of the event. Earlier this year, following the CPAC meeting in February, ACU Chairman David Keene was replaced by Washington lobbyist Al Cardenas.

By Rick Pearcey • April 18, 2011, 07:32 AM

At issue is Obama's life documents, not just his birth certificate, says Carol A. Taber at American Thinker. Not to mention the Constitution and the betrayal of the American republic.

AP: Arizona Legislature OKs Presidential Eligibility Bill

By Rick Pearcey • April 15, 2011, 05:42 AM

"The Arizona Legislature gave final approval late Thursday night to a proposal that would require President Obama and other presidential candidates to prove they are U.S. citizens before their names can appear on the state's ballot," reports the formerly mainstream AP.

"Arizona would become the first state to require such proof if Gov. Jan Brewer signs the measure into law," says AP.

Keep on reading the AP "news" report to get the standard White House/liberal spin on why eligibility is a non-issue that somehow "hasn't gone away."

What Arizona in fact is doing is providing a check and balance a) on a tyrannical White House that cares not for the U.S. Constitution and b) on a collaborationist media that cares not about the canons of journalism.

So keep going, Arizona. Bravo!

Appeals Court Adoption Victory Over Homosex Power Agenda

By Rick Pearcey • April 14, 2011, 11:27 AM

"An appeals court has ruled against two homosexual men who were attempting to force the state of Louisiana to change the birth certificate of the child they adopted to list two 'fathers'," reports LifeSiteNews.

The two males, "hailing from New York, had adopted a child born in Louisiana in 2006 and both wanted to be listed as the child’s father; they filed suit against Louisiana State Registrar Darlene W. Smith when the latter said it wasn’t possible."

Keystone of Islamic Milieu: Inbreeding

By Rick Pearcey • April 13, 2011, 05:50 AM

Burn a Book, Behead a Body? Ann Barnhardt in American Thinker argues that there is in Islam a practice, a catalyst, authorized by the Koran, "that has poisoned the cultural soil, thus yielding the fruit of bad harvest for nearly 1,400 years. That catalyst is inbreeding. As a direct result, the Muslim population is mentally developmentally disabled on a mass scale."

Planned Parenthood Terminated 910 Lives Per Day -- About As Many in One Year As Live in Cincinnati

By Rick Pearcey • April 11, 2011, 07:21 AM

Terry Jeffrey reports at CNSNews.com:

Planned Parenthood performed 332,278 abortions in the United States in 2009, according to a fact sheet the group published last month.

That is about as many as the 333,012 people who lived in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2009, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

The 332,278 abortions Planned Parenthood performed over the 365 days of 2009 equals an average of 910 lives terminated per day -- or about 38 per hour, or one every 95 seconds.

Bachmann Rejects "The Deal"

By Rick Pearcey • April 9, 2011, 09:56 AM

Posted at Bachmann.house.gov: "Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (MN-06) issued the following statement after voting against the latest Continuing Resolution (CR) that was brought before the House of Representatives today":

The negotiations which led up to this vote reaffirmed a simple truth: our troops should not be used as pawns in political negotiations. I am planning to introduce legislation so that our men and women in uniform are never again in the situation of wondering whether or not they will receive a paycheck in the event of a government shutdown. If we reach another impasse like we did this week, our active duty military and their families must know that their paychecks are secure.

The deal that was reached tonight is a disappointment for me and for millions of Americans who expected $100 billion in cuts, who wanted to make sure their tax dollars stopped flowing to the nation’s largest abortion provider, and who wanted us to defund ObamaCare. Instead, we’ve been asked to settle for $39 billion in cuts, even as we continue to fund Planned Parenthood and the implementation of ObamaCare. Sadly, we’re missing the mandate given us by voters last November, and for that reason I voted against the Continuing Resolution.

Trump Slams CNN on Obama Certificate -- Video

By Rick Pearcey • April 8, 2011, 06:39 AM

In this video, a CNN interviewer tries mightily to carry water for her network, while Trump sees a lot of that water spilling out and falling to the ground.

Trump is asking good questions. The formerly mainstream media would rather move on.

Rep. Louise Slaughter: GOP Freshmen Came to Washington "To Kill Women"

By Rick Pearcey • April 8, 2011, 05:28 AM

CNSNews.com is also reporting that the Democrat congresswoman from New York "likened Republican efforts to prohibit federal funding of abortion except in cases of rape, incest or where the life of the mother is endangered to actions taken by Nazis."

Let's get this straight: If you seek to legislate consistently with the Constitution and the Delcaration, which emphasize a high view of the individual person, as a creature of God (that is, not of the state nor of the material cosmos), and therefore you seek to defund the likes of Planned Parenthood, which operates on the basis of a business model drenched in blood, then you are like the Nazis?

In fact, the actual Nazis of history organized the German community to embrace the systematic murder of Jews. And Planned Parenthood, with the aid of supporters like Ms. Slaughter, seeks to organize the American community to embrace and fund the systematic murder of the unborn.

It is important to learn from history and not repeat the mistakes of past evil. That's another reason to defund Planned Parenthood -- so that its abortcentration centers have less capital by which to decapitate preborn American citizens.

Meanwhile, the next time Ms. Slaughter engages in ahistorical Nazi talk would someone just hand her a mirror?

Koran, and Free Speech, Up in Flames

By Rick Pearcey • April 5, 2011, 06:13 AM

Robert Spencer writes at Human Events:

Enraged over the burning of a Koran in Florida, Muslims have murdered about 20 people in Afghanistan and five in Pakistan -- none of whom ever burned a Koran or had any acquaintance with the men who did.

These killers are monstrous.  They have assassinated innocent people for something that they couldn't conceivably have had anything to do with.  And yet instead of calling them monstrous and demanding that Islamic leaders stop inciting and approving of such behavior, Western government and media elites are blaming not the murderers and rioters, but the man behind the Koran-burning.

Virginia Regulations Would Require Adoption to Homosexuals

By Rick Pearcey • April 4, 2011, 07:25 AM

"The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) has proposed new regulations to require state licensed adoption agencies in Virginia, including private church-run adoption agencies, to not refuse to process adoption of children based on the sexual orientation of the adopting parents," reports LifeSiteNews.

What an outrage! No American, and certainly no Virginian, should put up with this effort to impose upon anyone a homosexualist power social agenda that, by definition, discriminates against the Creator's liberating norms for family life and human sexuality.

A power agenda that undermines the family structure and which violates the "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God" can hardly be said to be in the best interests of children.

"The Virginia Department of Social Services is requesting comments from the public on this new proposal," LifeSiteNews notes.

"Comments may be made through the Virginia Regulatory Town Hall website here."

Bennett: Reagan Confronted "Evil Empire," Obama Retreats From Evil Islamists

By Rick Pearcey • April 4, 2011, 06:27 AM

Newsmax reports:

President Barack Obama won’t warn the American public about the dangers that Islamic extremism poses because he’s afraid of offending Muslims, former Reagan Cabinet member Bill Bennett tells Newsmax.TV.

Bennett, co-author of a new book on Muslim extremism entitled The Fight of Our Lives, contends that Obama’s strategy against radical Islam is confused and hesitant -- contrasted with President Ronald Reagan’s clear and firm strategy against communism.

Herman Cain: Media Scared "Real Black Man Might Run Against Barack Obama"

By Rick Pearcey • April 1, 2011, 09:00 AM

Jonathon M. Seidl at The Blaze writes, "Every day, with every soundbite, we seem to be inching closer and closer to an official Herman Cain 2012 presidential run. He's sure talking like a candidate."

Here is an example from this week:

The liberal mainstream media, notice how they have tried to destroy Sarah Palin, notice how the more popular Michele Bachmann gets, the more they try to destroy her? You want to know why they go after those two ladies more viciously? Because they know that Michele Bachmann or Sarah Palin is going to draw a lot of the women vote away from the Democrat party. They are scared to death of that if they were to run and get the nomination. They are doubly scared that a real black man might run against Barack Obama.

Here's video at YouTube.

Tea Party Activists See Betrayal by Republican Leadership

By Rick Pearcey • April 1, 2011, 08:03 AM
