No Longer Shopping at JCPenny

By Rick Pearcey • March 8, 2012, 09:34 AM

Bill Bumpas writes at OneNewsNow:

The leader of a pro-family advocacy group says only time will tell whether JC Penney's decision to have a high-profile homosexual entertainer as its spokesperson was a good business decision. . . .

We have heard back from so many of our members," [Monica Cole of OneMillionMoms] shares. "We have heard back from men and women -- not just moms -- saying they will no longer shop there at JC Penney, as long as Ellen DeGeneres is their spokesperson."

"Meanwhile," Bumpas concludes, "the OMM director finds it interesting that Fitch Ratings, a global agency, recently downgraded JC Penney's credit rating to 'junk'."

A "junk" credit rating may be the perfect accompaniment to JC Penny's anti-family "junk" marriage ethics and "junk" corporate social reponsibility, given the company's embrace of an extremist such as Ellen Degeneres.

Bad morals always make for bad business, no matter how much money a corruptive company might take to the bank.
