Unplugging the Chevy Volt

Amid news that GM (Government Motors) is suspending the production of the Chevy Volt, this:
The Volt was launched as GM’s car of the future. That future never came. . . . GM cannot get consumers to buy a vehicle that plugs in like a toaster.
