Why Does the GOP Lose?

By Rick Pearcey • November 7, 2012, 03:13 PM

The GOP loses because --

It is a house divided, and houses divided cannot stand.

If the GOP does not unify -- in philosophy & tactics, root & branch -- under the Constitution & Declaration, it in fact offers no real alternative to the statists, the fascists, the passionate haters, and the Orwellian takers, and thereby wins its defeats to demagogues and tyrants promising autobahns and cellphones.

Political parties that lack a unifying political vision perish -- and a people of freedom can be sustained only by a vision for freedom. Which way, GOP? Which way, America?

Also, if the GOP wants to win elections, it needs to pay great attention to the priority of culture:

A truncated political message of freedom (GOP) cannot overcome a comprehensive cultural message of unfreedom (Dems). This is the case even if the Democrat message is false. "Politics is downstream from culture."
