A 1st-grade teacher at McCordsville Elementary School in McCordsville, Indiana, sent a letter to parents informing them that certain words and topics are forbidden in public schools, among them God, Jesus, and Devil.
But a parent took action against this outrage, and soon the school, teacher, and students got a lesson in constitutional rights and parental power. Here's the story from Todd Starnes.
Comment: This 1st-grade teacher betrays ignorance not just of the Constitution and U.S. founding principles but also of the public, fact-based nature of Judeo-Christian thinking and living.
It's terrific to see parents step up to reclaim their responsibility for the education of their children -- for whom teachers are to act as servants, not masters.
