Kavanaugh Accuser's Classmate Changes Tune: "That It Happened or Not, I Have No Idea"

By Rick Pearcey • September 20, 2018, 01:24 PM

Melanie Arter reports at CNSNews.com:

A classmate of Christine Blasey Ford is now changing her story, saying she doesn't actually know whether an alleged sexual assault by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh took place like she suggested it did on social media.

In a Facebook post Wednesday, Cristina King Miranda initially wrote, "Christine Blasey Ford was a year or so behind me, I remember her. This incident did happen. Many of us heard about it in school and Christine's recollection should be more than enough for us to truly, deeply know that the accusation is true."

Miranda also wrote that, "Even before Christine came forward," she was against Kavanaugh's nomination. "I was and still am completely against his nomination."

"I do not want him representing me or making decisions on my behalf in the Supreme Court as he goes against everything sacred to me as a woman, mother, daughter, latina, American and professional. No matter how fine a person and 'upstanding' citizen he may be," Miranda added.

"Now Miranda says she has 'no idea' whether the incident happened," CNSNews reports.

"That it happened or not, I have no idea," Miranda is quoted as telling Nina Totenberg of NPR.

"I can't say that it did or didn't."

Miranda "further explained that she was 'empowered' in her Facebook post claiming that she knew about the alleged incident, but at the time she had 'no idea' she would be required to 'go to the specifics' about her knowledge and 'defend it before 50 cable channels'," according to CNSNews.
