Washington Press Chorus Already Knows Who Won Tomorrow's Debate

By Rick Pearcey • October 2, 2012, 07:45 AM

Jeffrey Lord writes at American Spectator:

Tomorrow night's presidential debate between President Obama and Governor Romney has already been settled.

Obama wins. Romney loses. Case closed.

How do we know this? Because the "mainstream media" have already determined it so, as Lord explains in his recounting of film clips, awards, and other goings-on at the Media Research Center's 25th Anniversary Gala.

By the way, I've noticed that critics of journalistic malpractice have begun to challenge the unjustified notion that the DC press corps is "mainstream."

As has been noted previously many times in these pages, modern liberalism is not in the mainstream of freedom or of the American ideal. And neither are the practices of the Washington press corps in the mainstream of what truly is journalism.

So alienated from real journalism has this group become that one really can now describe them as the Washington Press Chorus. With the likes of Obama setting the tone, tempo, and content.
